Biscolata Mood Cookies: Delicious But Low On Filling

The first taste was interesting. I popped the cookie into my mouth and tasted butter, then a hazelnut chocolate taste. The picture of the cookie was very misleading, because it showed the cookie filled with chocolate. Nope, most of the cookies have only a little bit of filling. If I had to rate the cookie I would give it a B. It was delicious but there wasn’t enough filling. It also feels like it’s trying to be a knockoff of Nutella with the hazelnut filling.

The cookies do have unique element to them. The name of the cookies actually have a meaning. There are nine moods that correspond to symbols on the cookies that people can find the meaning to on the side of the box such as Luck or Joy.

Flavored M&Ms Shake Up Your Taste Buds

Mars recently launched exciting new flavors of M&M Peanuts. I chose the Chilli Nut M&Ms and was not disappointed. First, when I began to chew, the candy tasted like a regular Peanut M&M until I was almost finished chewing. As I was ending my chocolate vacation, the spicy flavor of chilli peppers knocked out my taste buds.

I thought the chilli flavor was strong but not over powering. The spiciness lingered until I swallowed. It stayed on my tongue for the right amount of time and did not last after I finished the candy. Some of the pieces were stronger than others since my father had one and did not taste much of the chilli. However, my piece was a punch of flavor. I think I will try the Honey Nut flavor next time.

After trying the Chilli Nut Peanut M&Ms, I decided to try the competition: Honey Nut Peanut M&Ms. I popped one in my mouth and tasted a sweetness similar to honey. The flavor was pleasant and delicious. It tasted as if someone poured honey in the M&Ms candy.

I noticed a pattern when I looked at the Honey Nut M&Ms: color scheme. The chilli M&Ms I tried had a hot color scheme: red, orange and brown. The Honey Nut M&Ms have a different scheme: dark yellow, bright yellow and black. The colors remind me of honey bees, which have yellow and black in them.

Oreo Candy Bar Not As Good As The Cookie

When I saw that Oreo made a candy bar, I was curious to see what it tastes like. It was too sweet. The combination of the creme, the chocolate and the cookies made it too sweet. The bar is similar to the Cadbury caramellos in the way the candy is presented. It is one long bar with pieces you can break off. Oddly enough, the cookie is crisp when I bite into the bar. Even though I am a fan of Oreo cookies and deep fried Oreos, I wouldn’t eat the candy bar again.

Jin-Jin Lychee Jelly Took My Taste Buds on a Trip

When I first saw the Jin-Jin Lychee Jelly cups, I thought they were mini gelatin cups. I was basically right. I open the cup and smell something sweet. I smelled a scent that smelled like strawberries. It tastes like a smooth strawberry jello, without the red food coloring. The taste is not a fake strawberry taste but almost like I am eating a small strawberry. The small fruit pieces don't have a flavor and add a unique twist to it. It reminds me of fruit jello from when I was a kid. The kind you get in small packs with the hunks of peach or pear.

I got two fruit cups, one was Lychee and the other was Fruits Cup, which looked like a fruit punch flavor. My sister, who is vegetarian, asked me if she could eat these. Me, forgetting that gelatin
ingredients include parts from animals, searched to make sure I could say yes. After some research, I found that these fruit cups do not have gelatin in them. They are instead made with seaweed extract instead of gelatin (). Seaweed extract is usually called carrageen extract as well as Carrageenan and can serve as a substitute for gelatin in mousses as well as soft jelly.

The fruit cup was surprisingly good since I am not a fan of coconut. I could not even taste the coconut, which helped make the food taste even better. I am curious to see how the other flavors taste.

Stroopwaffel Is a Melt-In-Your-Mouth Treat

Ooh, la la. Fancy. This is what I though when I decided to buy the Belgian Boys Choco Stroopwaffel (No this is not typo, Stroopwaffel is one word) The stroopwaffel is actually a Dutch sandwich cookie. It is two cookies with caramel in the middle. The cookie goes with coffee because people put the cookie on top of their coffee and the steam from the coffee softens the caramel. Yummy.

First Bite: I definitely taste caramel and a crunch from the waffle. The chocolate is sweet but not too sweet and the caramel tastes fine. It tastes like ordinary caramel but with a slight richness to it. It is almost like the caramel flavor is stronger. It also is very stringy and quite sticky. It was so sticky, that I had s little trouble getting it out of the package because part of the chocolate got stuck in the wrapper. Oops! The dessert as a whole was great and I will have to try it again.

BustaNUT! Maple Bacon Peanuts Tickled My Taste Buds

“Are these barbecue flavored?” This is what my dad asks when he tries the BustaNUT! Maple Bacon flavored peanuts. I don't blame him for saying this because that is what I tasted when I ate them. They tasted like a mix between a smokey and sweet peanut. It also had a tang to it as well as a salty taste. They might as well be called honey, barbecue not maple bacon peanuts. Despite my negative comments, I keep eating them and I don't mind the different flavor. It is definitely unique and original. I might actually have to try their other flavors of nuts.

Ben and Jerry's Non-Dairy Coffee Caramel Fudge

A couple of months ago, I signed up through Ben and Jerry's for a free pint of their Non-Dairy ice cream. Last month, I got my so-called free pint. The company sent me an empty container of their ice cream since it would have probably melted before I would get it. I recently used one of the coupons for a free pint to try their Coffee Caramel Fudge.

When I first took it out, I had to let it thaw before I ate it. I tried to take a spoonful and could not even make a small mark in the pint, which is when I decided to let it sit before I bent the spoon. Once it was soft enough to eat, I dug my spoon in and took my first real bite. For me, the ice cream did not taste any different than their regular dairy flavors. The coffee flavor was strong and the chocolate chips were great. Also, the caramel tasted delicious. I did not taste a difference in the ice cream unlike other dairy free ice creams. (Cough, soy ice cream, cough.)

My dad, however, did taste a difference. I feel like it is always good to get a second opinion on food, especially if you normally eat certain foods.. He told me it had a strange taste, which my taste buds must not have picked up on. Despite the opinion, I still ate it and did not have any problems caused by lactose (stomach cramps, gas). I would definitely recommend this ice cream and cannot wait to try their other flavor, Chocolate Fudge Brownie.
